鈥淭he View鈥� co-host Meghan McCain has apologized after spoiling the ending of 鈥淕ame of Thrones鈥� live on air Monday morning.

The Republican talk show host criticized the finale during the 鈥淗ot Topics鈥� segment about the HBO fantasy epic.

"I spent 8 years of my life watching this and it was a horrible ending," she exclaimed before revealing who ends up ruling the show鈥檚 multi-kingdom universe. At that point, co-host Sunny Hostin cried out that she was 鈥渙nly on Season 4鈥� of the drama and Whoopi Goldberg jokingly pretended to walk off set.

鈥淚t鈥檚 all over the internet,鈥� McCain said in defence. 鈥淚 wasn鈥檛 told I wasn鈥檛 allowed to say it.鈥�

She later apologized on Twitter, suggesting that 鈥淕ame of Thrones鈥� fans on the West Coast avoid watching the talk show if they didn鈥檛 want the ending spoiled. 鈥淚鈥檓 so sorry for the on the show today,鈥� she wrote on Twitter. 鈥淚 assumed every diehard fan had watched! My bad.鈥�

Some fans expressed their disapproval on Twitter, suggesting there be a 鈥溾�� for spoilers. Others said they were working during the finale. 鈥淪ome of us work late. ,鈥� wrote one user.

Some came to McCain鈥檚 defense. 鈥�,鈥� tweeted a fan. 鈥淲hy was it a Hot Topic if you aren鈥檛 allowed to discuss it?鈥�
