After TV star Julia Louis-Dreyfus publicly announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, former U.S. vice-president Joe Biden took the opportunity to send her a thoughtful message of support 鈥 from one 鈥淰eep鈥 to another.

Dreyfus made on Thursday where she wrote: 鈥1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I鈥檓 the one.鈥

The American actor is known for her role as Elaine Benes on 鈥淪einfeld鈥 in the 90s and more recently, her Emmy award-winning role as U.S. vice-president Selena Meyer on the HBO series 鈥淰eep.鈥

As messages of condolences and encouragement came pouring in following Dreyfus鈥 post, one in particular grabbed attention for its adorable photo and inspiring message.

The former vice-president captioned the photo: 鈥淲e Veeps stick together. Jill and I, and all of the Bidens, are with you, Julia.鈥
